This is my sweet and super simple throw together pastry dessert, my Brie Cheese and Fig Fruit Puffed Pastry Rolls. It’s basically a sweet, baked cheese sandwich rollup which can be prepared in a variety of ways. However, this particular recipe using this soft buttery cheese—Brie— can also be modified and baked up as a savory roll by simply adding a few extras (see adaptations below). It basically depends on what you’re in the mood for.
These Brie Cheese and Fig Fruit Rolls are as sweet and delicious as that of the ever so popular cinnamon roll and even less time consuming. This recipe is great as a sweet treat for breakfast or brunch. Plus, it requires only 3 main ingredients but is totally adaptable.
ADAPTATIONS
Try adding a little deli ham in this recipe to make it both sweet and savory. Also, you can replace the fig spread with honey because we all know that honey and ham are a perfect match.
Some extra additives with these Brie Cheese Rolls might be to also add a few crushed toasted pecans for texture and crunch. Also, instead of using fig, try adding maple syrup or brown sugar to sweeten it up. Just use your own creative imagination and have fun cooking up your own delicious puffed pastry and Brie masterpiece.

Ingredients
- 1 Puffed Pastry Roll
- 6 oz President Brand Brie Soft Ripened Cheese thin edible rind
- Fig Fruit Spread or Preserves Enough for spreading over pastry

-
Place the Brie cheese log at one end of the pastry horizontally and roll up. Dab with a little water if needed to help seal closed.

-
Allow the rolls to cool and then dive in. Transfer carefully to serving dish, supporting the cheese roll at its base.
-
Drizzling with a little vanilla glaze is optional.
