Salami, Garlic Dill Cheese Curd Spinach and Romaine Salad

This is an absolutely tasty Italian salad recipe using meaty and super flavorful cheese curds. I am using garlic and dill flavored but any other should be equally delicious.

This is my first time eating and trying cheese curds in a recipe. I bought two types from a company in Wisconsin (link here). Maple Bacon of which I snacked on and obviously Garlic and Dill which I used in this salad recipe.

For those of you who may not know, I discovered that cheese curds are dense and thick, and though cheese, some what meaty and filling in their bite and texture. These curds are very satisfying alone or with any salad and quite possibly in any other dish. Either way, I look forward to discovering other ways to put these delicious cheese curds to use.

Salami, Garlic and Dill Cheese Curd Spinach and Romaine Salad

Delicious leafy spinach and romaine salad chocked full of spicy salami and flavorful cheese curds.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Salami pieces chopped
  • 6 ounces Garlic and Dill Cheese Curda (or other)
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach
  • 2 cups Romaine Lettuce chopped
  • 4 ounces Grape or Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion sliced or chopped if preferred
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Chop up the salami, tomatoes, lettuce and onions.

  2. Add the spinach and lettuce into a large bowl.

  3. Top with the tomatoes, onions, salami pieces and cheese curds.

  4. Season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Toss to combine.

  5. Serve with Creamy Italian, Balsamic Vinaigrette or your favorite dressing.
