Have you ever gone to your favorite or a particular restaurant and sat there enjoying a tasty meal and wondered if you could make it yourself? Then my answer is quite possibly YES, and usually depending upon your own palate.
Though I most definitely am an all around FOODIE, Italian cuisine just happens to be my absolute favorite food, and one of my favorite places to dine locally is an Italian restaurant known as Carrabba’s Italian Grill. When I visited on one particular occasion, I decided to have only a light meal at that time of which was not usually the norm for me being I usually enjoy ordering pasta dishes such as basic Lasagna and Spaghetti or even grilled Chicken Fettucine Carrabba or other specialty dishes. However, a bowl of soup was my choice at that particular date and time and the “Italian Sausage and Lentil Soup” caught my eye on the menu.
So after tasting and enjoying every tasty bite of this delicious textured and chunky soup, chocked full of seasoned Italian sausage and spicy lentils, I just knew I had to make it myself! So my twin sister and I sat there tasting and discussing its possible ingredients and suddenly VOILA—we appeared to have discovered the secret recipe ingredients or at least our own particular take on it anyway.
So here is my simple and equally delicious recipe blueprint for enjoying this same hearty and extremely satisfying Italian soup from your own kitchen and in the comforts of your own home and with minimal cost. Plus, you get to enjoy leftovers several times over! Now that’s ITALIAN!
