This was a Saturday treat for me and my family—these Warm Italian Sandwiches. This warm toasty sandwich is super delicious and flavorful with the few simple ingredients used here.

This Italian sandwich recipe is likewise very forgiving as there are many ways this sandwich can come together and you get to choose any ingredients you yourself might prefer and still come up with a very tasty combination. However, for this recipe post I will share my own particular version we enjoyed today.

Delicious Warm Italian Sandwiches

Warm pepperoni and salami seasoned with garlic oregano butter, melty provolone cheese, spinach arugula blend, dill or garlic pickles on low carb bread, makes this Italian flavored sandwich absolutely scrumptious.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Pepperoni
  • 1 large Salami slice or 4 smaller ones
  • 10 slices Hero Low Carb Sandwich Slices or other
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano or Italian Seasoning
  • 8 tbsp Butter, unsalted softened
  • Dill Pickle slices or garlic pickles if preferred
  • Spinach Arugula Blend
  • Red Onion, slices, optional Encouraged though I had none available for this recipe
  • Provolone Cheese slices or Mozzarella

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic and oregano together.

  2. Spread the garlic oregano butter onto all slices of bread, leaving 1 to 2 tablespoons for the griddle or pan.

  3. Next top each bread slice with cheese.

  4. Add the pepperoni and salami slices to one bread half.

  5. Top with spinach and arugula, dill or garlic pickles and red onions if using. Place other sandwich half over.

  6. Heat and melt butter up on a griddle pan, grill, or frying pan.

  7. Fry each sandwich on medium heat until golden brown and cheese has melted. Cut sandwiches in halves if preferred or enjoy whole.
