Good day. Just reporting in again to touch base from my own special pizzeria with another totally delicious and flavor packed pizza recipe.
Though I wish I could take credit for the concept and invention of a “chicken crusted “ pizza (chicken through and through with choice of toppings), I can’t, as I’m merely spring boarding off of a recipe post by Wholesome Yum, though I’m unsure who the actual idea originated with?
Nevertheless, this is my own recipe adaptation used to make a chicken crusted pizza —my Chicken Crusted Garlic Alfredo Veggie and Mushroom Lovers Pizza.
With a chicken, bread dough or any other type of pizza crust, the sky is the absolute limits with ideas where the type and amount of toppings are concerned. You simply do it your way!
Chicken Crusted Garlic Alfredo Veggie and Mushroom Lovers Pizza
Satisfying and delicious chicken crusted pizza topped with sautéed green peppers, onions, and mushrooms with tasty mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Thighs
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder granulated
- 1 tsp Oregano, dried
- 1 tsp Basil , dried
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Onions diced
- 1/4 cup Green Bell Pepper diced
- 1/4 cup Bella Mushrooms chopped
- 3 Garlic Cloves minced
- 2 tbsp Butter unsalted
- 3/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 large Egg
Instructions
-
Preheat oven and pizza stone (optional) at 400 degrees.
-
Season chicken with salt, pepper and spices. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
-
Chop and dice all of the vegetables. Add butter to a pan. Sauté onions, peppers, mushrooms and garlic until tender. Set aside.
-
Shred chicken. In a bowl, combine and mix the chicken with the grated Parmesan, salt, and egg.
-
Place parchment paper on a pizza wheel, shape chicken by pressing it into a round, thin crust pizza shape. Transfer pizza to stone (or pan) and bake for 15 minutes.
-
Temporarily remove pizza from oven and top with sautéed vegetables and mozzarella cheese. Carefully return pizza back to oven, using the pizza wheel, for 5 additional minutes to allow cheese to melt. Next step—to simply enjoy!
