Easy Coconut Crusted Bourbon Barbecue Chicken Breasts

Easy technique or shortcut to transform precooked leftover chicken or freshly baked (or grilled) chicken into this deliciously textured chicken recipe.

Ingredients

  • Bourbon Barbecue Sauce (or other) enough to coat the number of pieces
  • Coconut Flakes enough for coating chicken pieces
  • Leftover Chicken Breasts (or Thighs) or freshly cooked

Instructions

  1. Coat leftover or cooled freshly cooked chicken breasts in barbecue sauce.

  2. Follow by coating with coconut flakes by rolling or patting flakes on both sides of chicken.

  3. Broil the cooked chicken at 300 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, just to rewarm the chicken and the coconut flakes are lightly browned and toasted.

NOTE:  The preparation and cooking time will be dependent upon whether the chicken is already precooked  or is to be newly baked or grilled, as well as the number of chicken pieces being prepared. However, the same simple steps would be followed.
