Appetizers or Anytizer’s Sure Do Make Great Snacks
Who doesn’t get the munchies every now and then? Well I have to admit that I do. Therefore, I sure do enjoy creating tasty munchies or snacks—both sweet and savory—you name it, and of which I simply refer to as my “anytizer’s as they are perfect for any time or occasion. With that being said here is yet another creation from my recipe arsenal and of which my taste testers really enjoyed—these delectable little appetizers or anytizers are my Maple Sausage Rounds and they are super easy to make.
Maple Sausage and Honey Pizza Rounds with Peppers and Onions
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Red Onion chopped
- 2 tbsp Red Pepper chopped
- 1 -1/2 cups Ground Maple Sausage
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 heaping tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Yellow or Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
- 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 tbsp Chives chopped
Instructions

In a saucepan, saute onions and peppers in a little bit of olive oil until slightly tender.

Add the ground maple sausage and cook till just browned.

Then add honey, mustard, salt and pepper to the meat mixture.

Top mixture on top of home-made or prepared pizza dough that has been cut into 4 inch rounds.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until pizza crust lightly browned and baked through.

Drizzle each with maple syrup and garnish with chopped chives.
