Add oil to saucepan, and fry turkey pieces until partially lightly browned.
When cooled, cut bacon into pieces. Reserve two tablespoons of oil, to saute the onions and garlic till slightly tender.
Add the honey, syrup, balsamic vinegar, fish sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and precooked bacon to the pan.
Allow the mixture to cook on medium high heat for 5 minutes thicken---stirring regularly. Turn down heat and allow bacon mixture to simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
Stir in juice from half a lemon to turkey mixture, before topping it on either a store brought or home made puffed pastry dough.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, setting the oven to the broiler last 5 minutes until the pastry boats are golden brown. Note: Tent the filling with a tiny piece of foil if necessary to keep it from over browning.
