These Italian wings are definitely a touch down or a home run having slowly marinaded in a scrumptious and rich buttery garlic, marinara and parmesan sauce for several minutes. These wings are so good; I guarantee that this wing recipe will become a regular staple and a hit at any game day or wing event.
Add Chicken into the slow cooker.
Season the chicken with the all of the spices-salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika.
Melt butter on stovetop or in the microwave. If using garlic cloves, add the minced cloves to the pot of melted butter on the stovetop and let it cook until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn. If using the microwave, first melt the butter and then stir in the garlic powder.
Pour the garlic butter over the wings and allow the wings to slow cook for at least 20 minutes before adding 2 tablespoons of your favorite marinara of choice.
Cook for an additional 10 minutes before removing from heat, Stir in the parmesan cheese and let the wings sit for an additional few minutes before serving.
Note: The wings were fairly small and were done in 30 minutes. However, for larger and meatier wings, you may have to cook a little longer---possibly 15 minutes more.
Whenever possible, use organic ingredients.
