Sautéed Spinach, Water Chestnuts and Onions

Ingredients

  • 5 oz or 5 cups Fresh Spinach
  • 4 oz can Water Chestnuts
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or more to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Instructions

  1. Add the oil and butter to a small sauce or saute pan.

  2. Add the diced onions and roughly chopped water chestnuts. Sprinkle with a tiny bit of salt. Stir and cook until onions are slightly tender and translucent.

  3. Next, add in bunches of fresh spinach at a little at a time, allowing each bunch to soften. Season with garlic, salt and pepper and your done. That’s all folks. Enjoy!
