Easy Italian Pizza Pies without the dough rise.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pre-bake both pie crusts for 10 minutes and remove from oven. Allow it to cool. Once cooled, sprinkle both pie crusts with oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.
Add olive oil to a nonstick pan or skillet and brown ground Italian sausage. Remove from pan onto a paper towel lined dish.
In the same pan, sauté onions and mushrooms, until tender and onions are translucent. Add more oil to pan if needed. Sprinkle veggies with salt and pepper.
Add the cooked sausage back to the pan. Follow by adding in the pizza sauce and stirring in the fresh spinach a little at a time. Cook for 3 minutes to allow spinach to wilt.
Layer 4 to 5 mozzarella slices on the bottom of each par baked pie crust. Follow by sprinkling 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese on both and layering with leafy pieces of the fresh spinach.
Evenly spread the cooked sausage and veggie sauce mixture over each pizza pie crust. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
Garnish with fresh torn basil pieces. Bon Appetit!
