Baked sweet cinnamon and sugar apples with crispy topping of brown sugar, pecans and oats.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Add 4 tablespoons of butter to a pan on medium heat.
Add the chopped apples, sugar and cinnamon to the pan of melted butter.
Allow the apples to cook for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the apples to get tender and a thick syrup to form.
Then stir in vanilla and remove pan from off of the heat. Allow the apple filling to cool down a bit before assembling the crisp.
Meanwhile, add the flour, sugar, pecans, and oats into a bowl. Mix to combine all of the ingredients together.
Next, pour in the melted butter and stir until combined. The contents will be crumbly in consistency.
Top each ramekin with the warmed apple mixture and follow with a heaping helping of the sugar pecan crumble.
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
Whenever possible, use organic ingredients.
