Deep Fried Pimento Cheddar Cheese Spinach Balls

Excellent as an appetizer or even as a side to your main course, these little pimento cheese bites are crispy and crunchy on the outside, while soft and cheesy with a mildly sweet flavor on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Pimentos
  • 8 oz Three Cheddar Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Baby Spinach chopped
  • 3/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 large Egg organic
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • Dash of Pepper

Instructions

  1. Using a food processor, pulse and chop the spinach and the onion into small pieces.

  2. Combine and stir all the above ingredients together in a bowl. 

  3. Roll out into 12 medium-sized balls.

  4. Roll balls into self-rising flour and freeze for at least one hour before deep frying them in hot oil and cooking until golden brown.
