Snack on These Healthy Sugar Free, Dark Chocolate, Blueberry Flowers

Jump to Recipe

This cute snack recipe comes from one of the ladies I follow on Instagram—FoodBites. What I love about it, is it requires only two simple ingredients and it’s not only very cute and healthy for you, but it’s a delicious combo too.

This is one of those recipes that can easily be adapted to suit your own individual preferences too. For example, the blueberries can be substituted with raspberries as well as the dark chocolate with either milk or white chocolates.

So after doing the dip, the only thing left to do is to shape, set and let them stick together by placing them in the fridge.

Servings 6 Flowers

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Fresh Blueberries
  • 6 oz or 8 round pieces Goalz Plain Dark Chocolate or other melted
  • 1/2 tsp Coconut oil, optional to aid with melting the chocolate

Instructions

  1. On the stove top using a double broiler or if preferred melt the chocolate in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, making sure to stir in between.

  2. Next, dip and coat a few of the berries at a time, with the exception of a single berry placed in the center on a parchment lined dish.

  3. Press the chocolate coated berries against and all around the center uncovered blueberry, encircling it to form a flower shape. NOTE: You do have the option of coating them all but leaving one blue gives it it’s contrasted and flower-like appearance.

  4. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour to allow the chocolate coated fruit flower to firm and set.
