This dessert recipe makes for a nice treat anytime of the day and while you can absolutely make your own dough especially if you’re up to the task and welcome both the challenges and rewards of doing so, then go for it.
However, if that’s an undertaking you would prefer to skip, then let’s just take the easy way out today. After all, there’s nothing ever wrong with simplifying things be it in cooking, baking or involving any kitchen activities. So let’s GO!

Now though this recipe was made using apple pie filling, any fruit filling will do, whether in a can or cut up fresh. However, since we are keeping this recipe simple, let’s just again take the shortcut method by purchasing a can but if not—quality fresh organic fruit if you don’t mind taking a few minutes to chop. 🔪
RECIPE
Easy Air Fried Apple Filled Enchiladas
Spiced apple filling housed inside of crispy air-fried (or deep fried if preferred) enchiladas with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar and a caramel drizzle at the end.
Ingredients
- 2 ready made Pastry dough sheets
- 2 15 oz cans Apple Pie Filling
- Cinnamon Sugar (combined) enough for sprinkling
- 6 tbsp Butter melted; and more if needed
- Store bought caramel (or make your own) NOTE: See recipe on website.
Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.

Cut pastry dough sheets in large circles using a large cookie cutter.

Place a large tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center of cut dough. Then fold over apple filling and crimp the edges shut with a fork.

Baste the uncooked enchiladas with the melted butter.

Air fry in batches until golden brown (usually anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes). Do not overcrowd the fryer pan.

Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture immediately after removing from air fryer. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
