While it’s best to eat most baked apple recipes while they’re nice and warm, this one is still quite yummy if reheating becomes necessary. Anyway, enjoy this 5 ingredient apple recipe with minimal steps —my Air Fried Cinnamon Sugar Apple Balls.
FOR THE RECIPE
Air Fried Cinnamon Sugar Apple Balls
Bites sized, warm spiced apples wrapped inside sweetened cooked dough.
Ingredients
- 2 Apples peeled, cored and diced
- 1 container Crescent Dough divided into 8 pieces
- 2 tsp Cinnamon plus 1 teaspoon for rolling (more if needed)
- 3 tsp Allulose or Sugar plus 1 teaspoon for rolling (more if needed)
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Butter melted (more if needed)
Instructions
-
Peel, core and dice apples.
-
Squeeze lemon juice over apples to prevent browning or oxidation.
-
Roll or stretch out dough into 8 pieces.
-
Add 1/4 teaspoon of the diced spiced apples on to the center of dough. Stretch dough over apples to cover as much as possible. Then roll the dough into small balls until done. Pinch any open area to seal. If needed, wet your fingers to help seal the dough shut.
-
Roll each ball into cinnamon sugar mixture and set aside until each have been coated.
-
Melt butter for 10 to 15 seconds. Roll balls in the butter, completely coating them.
-
Roll the balls once again in the cinnamon sugar mixture to completely coat.
-
Place apple balls on a sprayed air fryer basket. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 minutes and until golden brown.
